Overview: |
This 2 - 4 week elective in Public Health & Preventive Medicine follows up on the learning achieved in their PHPM 101 elective at University of Alberta or a similar elective at a different university. During this elective, students will consolidate their understanding of core public health principles and frameworks to work on a project determined in discussion with a Public Health & Preventive Medicine supervisor. Opportunities may be available to meet certain stakeholders and experts relevant to their project to promote collaboration, communication on, and engagement with the project. Students are expected to participate in weekly academic half-day sessions with Public Health & Preventive Medicine residents. Students will also present their project to residents and staff during the Academic Half Day of their final week. |
