Services Offered: POP provides a 12 week structured group psychotherapy program with a focus on exploring dysfunctional personal and relational patterns for patients who want to make positive changes in their lives. The type of psychotherapy is an eclectic object approach utilizing psychodynamic, cognitive, dialectical and experiential approaches in an intensive time limited small group format. Objectives: |
Completing this elective should: Introduce the student to psychodynamic, experiential, and cognitive approaches to group psychotherapy Help develop clinical skills, judgment and knowledge in assessing patients in a group therapy setting Working in a multidisciplinary team setting |
