Overview: Students choosing an elective in Diagnostic Imaging will spend 1-2 weeks in the department. Elective students follow a general rotation during their time here; however, there is some time for tailoring it to their particular needs. This can be discussed with the site administrator after the elective has been confirmed.
Objectives: Students will be acquainted with the broad range of imaging procedures available in a modern imaging department and will gain a basic radiological approach to clinical problems. The wide ranging aspects and capabilities of general radiology, together with some of the subspecialties will be introduced to the elective student at a level concomitant with their medical training and knowledge.
