The Radiation Therapy program has bloomed into existence in just a few short years. A proposal was first submitted to government in 2011, and official approval for the Radiation Therapy program came in 2012, along with funding from the Ministry of Innovation and Advanced Education. After a flurry of planning, recruitment and renovations, the program opened its doors to students in the fall of 2014. Shortly afterwards, construction began on a state-of-the-art training suite within the Cross Cancer Institute. The training suite was completed in December 2015 and became fully operational in spring 2016.

 

The training suite officially launched on February 21st, 2017, with the Minister of Innovation and Advanced Education in attendance:
