Facility Overview

We are a group of technologists committed to excellence with the mandate of supporting researchers in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry and elsewhere on technical aspects of next generation sequencing (NGS) techniques including genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics and related fields.

Over the last decade we have acquired vast experience in metagenomics, transcriptomics (including miRNAs and lincRNAs), and genomics. Find detailed description on our Services page.

We also offer traditional molecular biology services including real time PCR and animal genotyping.

Effective November 13, 2020 TAGC will no longer be offering Sanger Sequencing services. November 12th will be our last run, as such the last day for sample drop off will be Tuesday November 10th by 4:00pm. As of November 13, 2020 Sanger Sequencing can be done at the Department of Biological Sciences Molecular Biology Facility, MBSU.
