U2 Ukraine (in Poland)

A new and exploratory program that allows students the flexibility to immerse into two complementary experiences in one location.

U2 Ukraine combines:

Ukrainian language (Intermediate or Advanced) and Cultural Studies courses, which can be taken in different combinations (★3 to ★9 credits).

Option A: ★3,  ★6, or ★9 credits:

May 8 - May 19
★3 credits: UKR 211 Intermediate Ukrainian I and/or

May 22 - June 2
★3 credits: UKR 212 Intermediate Ukrainian II and/or

June 5 - June 16
★3 credits: SLAV 399 (see below)

Option B: ★ 6 credits

May 22 - June 2
UKR 300/400

June 5 - June 16
UKR 300/400 (cross-listed with SLAV 399/projects in Ukrainian)

Option C: ★3 credits

June 5 - June 16
SLAV 399 "Wars and Peace: 10 Keys to Understanding Polish-Ukrainian Relations" (in English)

Term and dates: May 8 - June 16, 2023
Deadline to Apply: March 1, 2023; Non-University of Alberta students can apply via Open Studies
Eligibility: Open to ALL post-secondary students from all disciplines
Fees and Costs: Tuition based on credits; airfare; reasonable living expenses and accommodations at the University of Warsaw.

Please note: Several scholarships are available.
