Graduate student position with Dr. N. Malykhin: Biological markers of depression

Dr. Malykhin’s laboratory investigates how emotional reactivity is associated with psychological distress and depression using mobile technology and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI).

Dr. Malykhin’s lab is currently seeking a graduate student (MSc/PhD) interested in the affective neuroscience of mood disorders. The successful candidate will work on behavioural, physiological, and neural measures of affective vulnerability using high-resolution fMRI to examine prefrontal-amygdala connectivity and underlying vulnerabilities that predispose individuals to depression onset and recurrence. This position is anticipated to begin September 2022 and will be open until filled. Interested applicants should email Dr. Nikolai Malykhin.
