The NMHI is home to more than 170 members from multiple faculties, lending the institute a diverse and exciting group of neuroscience laboratories.
With research covering a wide variety of neuroscience sub disciplines (including molecular, behavioral, systems, cognitive, and clinical neuroscience), research associates have the opportunity to develop and strengthen their knowledge and expertise.
Postdoctoral opportunities are arranged directly with proposed supervisors, so prospective postdoctoral fellows and research associates are encourage to browse the positions available page to learn more about current openings and opportunities.
The University of Alberta offers several medical residency training programs specializing in neuroscience and mental health. Medical residents have the option to take a two year master's program in neuroscience while they complete their residency training. The master's program will allow them to complete research in addition to their clinical work.
