Research Priority Areas

The Neuroscience and Mental Health Institute (NMHI) is home to over 150 scientists and clinicians, spanning across all areas of neuroscience and mental health. The NMHI is a multidisciplinary network with research expertise in a variety of fields, including several research priority areas which are outlined below.

Brain and Spinal Cord Injury and Restoring Movement

This area of research includes (but is not limited to):

  • Spinal cord and nerve injury
  • Stroke and stroke rehabilitation
  • Peripheral neuropathy

Dementia and Related Neurodegenerative Disorders
