Debrief

At the end of the summer, interns are required to attend a two-day debriefing period the week before school starts to share their experience with interns from other communities and the Engage North community. The debriefing period is first and foremost a celebration of the intern's experience in the North. This usually comprises of interns giving a short presentation (30-45 minutes) to share photos and stories from their internship. Typically, this is a PowerPoint/Slides presentation, but interns are free to tell their story however they wish to express themselves. This is followed by conversations about re-entry into the University community and city life, and coping strategies to readjusting to the fast pace of life as a student. Other topics of conversation include discussing how the experience has changed the intern, their perspective of the North and their career path.
