Currently, I serve as a reviewer for a number of international journals including Quality of Life Research and Research in Nursing & Health, and for the International Society for Quality of Life and the Canadian Association on Gerontology.

My program of research focuses on quality of life among older adults. Specialized interests in this area include determinants of COPD-specific and non-disease-specific quality of life. I am currently embarking on research projects pertaining to active aging and its relationship to quality of life, happiness, and life satisfaction, and attitudes to aging. I also examine the psychometrics of QOL- and ageing-related instruments for use with older people.
