Dr. Pauline Paul highlights key moments influencing the development of nursing in Alberta, including how past epidemics and pandemics influenced change. Dr. Shannon MacDonald discusses how the current COVID-19 pandemic highlights the critical role of nurses and how it may impact nursing's role moving forward. The session is moderated by Dr. Jeanne Besner, health care change catalyst with greetings and remarks from Dr. Greta Cummings, Dean, Faculty of Nursing.

Join a panel of U of A experts from the faculties of Medicine & Dentistry, Nursing and Public Health as they discuss the lessons we’ve learned from COVID-19, why UAlberta is uniquely equipped to respond to the pandemic, and how our knowledge is helping reimagine systems, structures and policies for a better future.
