23 September 2014

The Faculty of Nursing is celebrating the induction of Alexander Clark, professor and associate dean of research, to the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS) as a Fellow.

The induction ceremony, led by Linda Rabeneck and Louise Potvin, took place during the annual CAHS Forum and General Meeting in Ottawa on September 18, 2014. Of the 50 new Fellows inducted to the Academy in 2014, there were eight inductees from the University of Alberta.

CAHS recognizes a broad range of health sciences from medicine to allied health sciences; and from science to social science and population health. To qualify for fellowship, individuals must be nominated and pass a peer review to ensure they contribute significantly to the status of Canadian health care.

Fellowship with CAHS is considered one of the greatest honours in the Canadian health sciences community.
