Nursing Graduate Students' Association

What is the NGSA?

The NGSA is the official voice for Faculty of Nursing graduate students at the University of Alberta. It is composed of graduate students, both master's and PhD, who promote the general welfare of nursing graduate students through social, recreational, cultural, academic, and community-oriented endeavours.

NGSA Meetings

NGSA meetings occur once per month, from September to April. Elections for NGSA Executive positions occur every September, but individuals can become a general member at any time during the academic year. To become a general member or for other inquiries, please email the NGSA (nrsgsa@ualberta.ca) or any of the Executive members. You can also view upcoming NGSA events and group information on our Facebook page and Twitter account (@Graduate_Nurses).

MENTOR US - Mentorship Program

The NGSA has developed and launched MENTOR US, a mentorship program for MN, PhD, international, and distance students. The mission of MENTOR US is to enhance the quality of the nursing graduate student experience through the use of a peer-to-peer mentorship program that facilitates students' personal growth, confidence levels, leadership abilities, and academic success.

To learn more about MENTOR US or to sign up to become a mentor or mentee, please visit our website. For any general inquiries you can also contact MENTOR US by email at mentorus@ualberta.ca.
