Our Faculty is organized into four substantive areas of interest that
integrate research, teaching and citizenship, which are referred to as Areas
Chronicity - Advance and disseminate knowledge about living with Chronicity and to influence public policy
related to living well with chronic health concerns.
Health Equity - Foster
discourse and inquiry to examine issues related to the social determinant of
health as conditions for social advantage, disadvantage and systematic
disparities in health.
Health Systems - Develop knowledge to understand and improve health systems and practice across health
care sectors and acute continuing, ambulatory and community settings.
Nursing Education - Foster philosophical pedagogical and historical scholarship within the FoN and the
nursing community by engaging colleagues in discussion.
