Postdoctoral Fellowships

UAlberta's Postdoctoral Fellows Office provides a central resource for all Postdocs and serves as a liaison between postdocs, faculty, administrators, and staff. University Funded Fellowships
Each year, this fund awards up to four fellowships valued at $50,000 per year for up to two years. It includes a one-time $4,000 travel/research grant and each year the top ranked recipient will receive the Dorothy Killam Memorial Postdoctoral Prize, valued at an additional $5,000.

Externally Funded Fellowships
This fellowship provides funding to the very best postdoctoral applicants, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to the country's economic, social, and research-based growth. Valued at $70,000 per year for two years, it aims to attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral talent, both nationally and internationally, and develop leadership potential.

This fellowship offers postdoctoral scientists and engineers the opportunity to work with supervisors in a Natural Sciences and Engineering related field. It is valued between $53,077 and $65,903 per annum, and renewals for a second and third year are at the discretion of HC and PHAC
This fellowship aims to provide those studying health services and policy research (HSPR), or related fields, a unique opportunity to apply their research and analytic talents to critical challenges in healthcare that are being addressed by the health system and related organizations outside of the traditional scholarly setting and to develop professional experience, new skills, and networks. This stipend is valued at $70,000 per year for two years, including an additional professional development training and research allowance of $7,500 per year.
