The Care Practice Research Network aims to take practices seriously as active and knowledgeable engagements that constitute and are constituted by a world needs methodological tools and a theoretical vocabulary that allows us to keep practices and their effects in view and available for study on their own terms.

Members of the Care Practices Research Network are a diverse group brought together through a shared interest in studying care practices. Our aim is to reinstitute a concern for care practices by taking such practices seriously - activity that requires both methodological tools and a theoretical vocabulary that allow us to keep everyday practices, their details and their effects, in view and available for study. We study care practices in and as part of daily life, as webs of relations constituting daily life, with the goal of making these visible, articulable on their own terms, and thus more open to improvement and change.
