Research Groups

Research Groups

Purpose

The purpose of research groups is to develop research capacity in a focused area of cutting-edge research.

Procedure

All groupings of Faculty of Nursing faculty that wish to be recognized as a research group require approval by the Faculty of Nursing Leadership Team. The Faculty of Nursing will provide $1000/year for 3 years to support group activities to a maximum of 4 groups. If you are interested in establishing a research group, please submit a brief summary (one page or less) to nursing.research@ualberta.ca. The summary should include the objectives of the group and information on the proposed membership (approximate numbers of faculty members, whether it includes members from other faculties, etc.). The group's objectives must focus on developing research capacity for faculty, and include graduate students. All groups must submit an annual report each year to Associate Dean (Research) of the group activities.

Groups will be reviewed every 3 years by the Leadership Team.
