The goal of the Nursing Research Chair is to enhance the quality of life of older adults and their families through the development of nursing knowledge and serves our community by advancing and sharing knowledge in this area. The endowed Nursing Research Chair in Aging and Quality of Life focuses on several research objectives by:
Collaborating with researchers, nurses, policy makers and seniors to identify priority areas for research in aging within the practice environment.
Conducting rigorous research in the area of aging.
Building research capacity in nursing researchers involved in aging research focused on improving nursing practice, education, and policy.
Raising awareness of the contribution/outcomes of nursing researchers, provincially, nationally and internationally.
Promoting evidence–informed nursing practice.
The Nursing Research Chair in Aging and Quality of Life could not have existed without the assistance of donors. We are grateful to all.
