Congratulations to Regan Clark, who has won the best oral presentation award in the "Junior Investigator" section at this year's RTi3 Radiation Therapy conference. RTi3 is the annual two-day event presented by the University of Toronto's Department of Radiation Oncology (UTDRO) and is Canada's premier conference in this field.
Regan, a member of the 2019 Cohort of the Radiation Therapy Program, presented on behalf of her research team that included fellow 2019 Cohort members, Tianna Hedge and Teryn Nelson. Their undergrad research project was titled "Current Vaginal Dilator Practice Across Canada". Wendy Read at the Cross Cancer Institute mentored these students. They carried out their research during their final year while participating in clinical placements. Study findings indicated a significant lack of standards across the country, and will help improve local practice for patients at CCI and beyond.
