Congratulations to Dr Zhimeng Jia on winning the CSPCP Resident Research Award!

25 May 2019

We are pleased to announce that our resident Zhimeng Jia won the Resident Research Award at the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians annual conference. This is the fifth year in a row that a U of A resident has received top honours from our national professional society. We would like to acknowledge: Vincent Thai, Lawrence Lee and Vickie Baracos, who supervised Zhi's project (Development of a cachexia integrated nomogram to predict survival for inpatients with advanced cancer); Yoko Tarumi, who oversees our Division's resident research program together with Vickie; and Sarah Burton-MacLeod and Megan Sellick, who as Director and Assistant Director respectively of our residency program have facilitated resident participation in research.
