Michener Park

These rules and regulations are for residents and visitors who park at the Michener Park Residence.

Resident Parking Stalls

  • Residents must register their vehicle with Parking Services when they sign their lease agreement.

  • Residents must report changes to their licence plate number to Parking Services.

  • Residents must hang their parking permit from their vehicle’s rear view mirror.

  • Parking permits are non-transferable.

  • Residents who cancel their parking stall, must return their permit to Parking Services.

Visitor Parking

A visitor is anyone who isn’t a resident of Michener Park who is visiting the premises temporarily.

  • Only visitors may use visitor parking stalls. Residents are not permitted to park in visitor parking and may be ticketed or towed.

  • Vehicles for hire, such as taxi cabs, may not park in visitor parking and may be ticketed or towed.

  • Residents must notify Parking Services each day before 9 a.m. if they are expecting a visitor who would like to park in visitor parking. Vehicles parked in visitor parking without approval may be ticketed or towed.  

  • Visitors may park in visitor parking for up to three consecutive days. To request visitor parking for more than three days, contact Parking Services. Vehicles parked in visitor parking for more than three days without approval from Parking Services may be ticketed or towed.

 

Car Plug Ins

Michener Park car plug ins are controlled by thermostat. If the red light on the transformer box is on, the car plugs are on.

  • 100- to 500-area plug-ins cycle for 30 minutes in temperatures between -15 C and -25 C. If the temperature drops below -25 C, car plug ins stay on. 

  • 600-area car plug ins cycle for 30 minutes in temperatures below -15 C. In temperatures -15 C and above, car plug ins stay on.
