Our Alumni Give Back

(L – R) Dwayne Samycia–Alumnus 1979, Daniel Burton–Class of 2016, Madeleine Durrant–Class of 2016 & Salwa Tarrabain–Alumna 1978. Daniel and Madeleine received the Myros Samycia Family Award

My wife Salwa and myself are both graduates of the University of Alberta, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The university experience provided us with many fond memories, many friendships, and professional opportunities that are still a great part of our lives today. Our education at the university provided us some of the best years of our lives.

We feel very fortunate and privileged to be in a situation that we can give back to the University as well as acknowledging student achievements. We both feel strongly that being able to give back to our alma mater works to further our profession in the future. Bursaries and scholarships are also the culmination of years of perseverance and hard work, and the students are to be congratulated on their achievements.

Giving allows us to improve and enhance the quality of life for our graduates as well as the people we serve professionally.

We congratulate the academic achievements of our graduates and wish them all future success in whatever path they may follow.

Sincerely,

Dwayne Samycia, Class of 1979, and Salwa Tarrabain, Class of 1978
