PHIL 302

TR @ 12:30- 1:50
Prerequisites: None!

Course description: Have you ever wondered what kind of insights you might find in non-European philosophy? What kind of topics do they explore? And what valuable ideas do they have to teach us? Indian philosophers parallel their Western counterparts in several familiar ways, yet also formulated unique theories and in some cases radically different methods that provide fascinating new philosophical perspectives. These include issues of self-identity, mind and consciousness, non-dual metaphysics, the ethics of non-violence and compassion, and the incorporation of contemplative philosophical techniques like meditation. To learn more, come check out PHIL 302: Indian Philosophy.
