PHIL 215 A1

PHIL 215 A1: Epistemology
Instructor: Phil Corkum

Course Description

What is knowledge and how does it differ from true belief? How is knowledge influenced by luck, interests and stakes? The goal of the course is to introduce some of the central topics of epistemology, including justification, scepticism, foundationalism and contextualism. The student will also gain skills needed to take further philosophy courses. Although there are no prerequisites, and the reading workload is moderate, it’s unavoidable that many of the readings are difficult.
