Ka Ho Lam to be postdoctoral fellow at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology

Ka Ho Lam, who received his PhD in Philosophy from the U of A in Fall 2019, has been awarded a fellowship to work as a post-doctoral researcher in the Institute for Philosophy at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
Ka Ho’s research project is an extension of his dissertation, “Natural Kind Realism, Taxonomic Pluralism, and Relative Fundamentality”. It asks how we should study scientific metaphysics if we adopt the “turn to practice” approach in the philosophy of science, given that such an approach may require us to give up the value-free ideal of science.
