Congratulations to Eduardo Andrade, Avontay Williams and Joseph McDonald!

The department is pleased to announce the co-winners of the 2022 Anna Kessler Memorial Graduate Essay Prize: Eduard Andrade for “Beyond the Contagion and Projection Divide: A defense of Hume’s account of Sympathy,” and Avontay Williams for “On Collective Action Problems: Voting &Individual Moral Responsibility”. They are joined by Joseph McDonald, who received honourable mention for “Topological duality for orthomodular lattices.” There was an unusually large number of very fine submissions, and all those who submitted deserve commendation.
