PhD student Esther Rosario successfully defends thesis.

Congratulations to Phd student Esther Rosario for successfully defending her doctoral dissertation, "Sex as a Biological Kind: A Case of Strategic Conceptual Engineering," on January 20, 2023. The dissertation was supervised by Professor Ingo Brigandt, Canada Research Chair in Philosophy of Biology. The examining committee consisted of Cressida Heyes (H. M. Tory Professor and Chair of Political Science, UofA), Kathrin Koslicki (Professor of Theoretical Philosophy, University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland), Sally Haslanger (Ford Professor of Philosophy, MIT), and Jennifer Welchman (Professor of Philosophy, UofA).

Esther is currently Lecturer in Philosophy at Dartmouth College.
