The University of Alberta Cheer Club is a co-ed competitive cheerleading team for students with an interest in gymnastics, stunting and dance. It is a great outlet to develop new relationships, interact with other students representing faculties across campus, as well as volunteering and giving back to the UA Community.
A full-year commitment is required to be a member of the Cheer Club (September – March), practicing 2-3 days a week, approximately 4 hours/week.
The team travels to competitions both within the province and internationally. In the 2014-2015 season, the Club competed at:
Cold Snap (Edmonton)
Ross Sheppard Cheer Championships (Edmonton)
ACA Total Spirit Championships (Edmonton)
United Spirit Association Nationals (Anaheim, CA)
The Cheer Club also participated in the K-Days Parade and Morning Magic at K-days.
