Cheer Club

The University of Alberta Cheer Club is a co-ed competitive cheerleading team for students with an interest in gymnastics, stunting and dance. It is a great outlet to develop new relationships, interact with other students representing faculties across campus, as well as volunteering and giving back to the Edmonton and UAlberta community.

A full-year commitment is required to be a member of the Cheer Club (September – March), practicing 2-3 days a week, approximately 6 hours/week.

The team travels to competitions both within the province and internationally. In the 2017-2018 season, the Club competed at:

  • Cold Snap (Edmonton)

  • Ross Sheppard Cheer Championships (Edmonton)

  • ACA Total Spirit Championships (Edmonton)

  • United Spirit Association Nationals (Anaheim, CA)

The Cheer Club also participated in the Pride Parade, the YEG Brain Tumor Walk, Racing for a Cure, Morning Magic at K-days, and many more events.
