The Turkey Trot is a fun run/footrace, 4KM Walk/Run or 8KM Run, that is customarily held around Thanksgiving and sees vast participation throughout Canada and the United States. Many organizations hold Turkey Trot events a week or two prior to Thanksgiving in order to raise funds for local charities and provide festive holiday meals to homeless/low-income families in the community.
The University of Alberta Turkey Trot traditionally attracts between 500 and 600 University of Alberta Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni and people from around the Community – this event is open to EVERYONE!
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 2016 Turkey Trot on Alumni Weekend! We hope everyone had a great time and we are already looking forward to 2017. The results from 2016 are in! Please see the links below for your results.
