Mentor a Student

Open your door to current University of Alberta Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine students by hosting clinical placements at your private practice, rehabilitation centre, health facility, hospital, or school. Our students are not limited to accepting clinical placements in Alberta alone, and we're always looking for more national and international placement sites for U of A students.
The Collaborative for Scholarship in Clinical Education (CSCE) maintains a database of affiliated practicum institutions and their employees who hold joint clinical teaching appointments. It recognizes joint clinical appointment holders and their important contribution to the training of students in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. The group offers workshops on a variety of topics related to the clinical supervisory process.

CSCE was established with a mandate to:
  • Promote research on the clinical education process
  • Foster continuing education for clinical supervisors in Rehabilitation Medicine
  • Serve as a clearing house for practicum policies within the faculty
  • Promote positive relationships with the clinical community
  • Encourage graduate study of the clinical education and clinical supervisory processes
