Taiwan Studies Essay Prize

The Taiwan Studies Program is now accepting applications from students for its $250 Essay Prize. 

The essay must be:

• related to Taiwan culture, literature, society, politics, economics, or history
• a minimum of 1,000 words
• written as an assignment for a University of Alberta course (please say which course)

Eligibility:

• Undergraduate or graduate students at University of Alberta who are enrolled in the 2023 Winter Term. 

If you meet the above requirements, please send your essay to taiwanst@ualberta.ca as a Word document by April 30, 2023. Please include in the email subject line “$250 Essay Prize: Last Name, First Name.” Faculty associated with the Taiwan Studies program will evaluate submissions and notify winners by June 1, 2023.
