How do I get into a course without the listed pre-requisite?

If you do not meet the prerequisites and there is an option for Department consent, please contact the instructor with your full name, student identification number and the course you would like the consent for. For example: Political Science 211-LEC A1: Introduction to History of Political Theory. Tuesday and Thursday.

Once the instructor has approved your request, please forward the mail to the Undergraduate Advisor at polisci@ualberta.ca .

The Undergraduate Advisor will be in contact with you.


What do I do to get into a course that is full?

If the section that you want to get into is full, you will need to do the following:

1. Put yourself on the watchlist.

2. Email the instructor requesting permission to be enrolled in the course. In your email, please include your full name, student identification number and the course you would like to take. For example: Political Science 211-LEC A1: Introduction to History of Political Theory. Tuesday and Thursday.

If the instructor approves your request, please forward the mail to the Undergraduate Advisor at polisci@ualberta.ca .

The Undergraduate Advisor will be in contact with you.


Who do I talk to about Undergraduate courses?

All the undergraduate courses are listed on our website and Bear Tracks. If you have additional questions, please contact the Undergraduate Advisor at polisci@ualberta.ca. You will be contacted within 1-2 business days.

What do I do if I don't agree with my grade and would like it remarked?

First of all, you should make an appointment with the instructor and discuss your grade with them. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of this meeting, please contact the Associate Chair (Undergraduate) at jgarber@ualberta.ca
