Timelines and Updates

Mar. 15, 2019 The board chair and president officially advise the board of governors that the president will not seek reappointment.
Mar. – Apr. 2019 The board of governors prepares for the presidential search by reviewing policies and guidelines, as well as establishing search firm criteria and issuing an RFP.
May 2019 The board meets to approve the establishment of the Advisory Search Committee for President and approves the Board Guidelines and Procedures for the Presidential Search Committee.
Apr. – early Jun. Elections and nominations to replenish the Advisory Search Committee for President are underway. A search firm is selected.
Jun. – Sep. 2019 A proactive search begins and includes advertising, testing criteria, consulting, and developing a position profile.
Sep. – Dec. 2019 The field is narrowed to a long-list of semi-finalists.
Jan. – Feb. 2020 The committee deliberates regarding semi-finalists, and final interviews are conducted.
Feb. – Mar. 2020 The search committee presents its recommendation to the Board Human Resources and Compensation Committee (BHRCC).
Mar. 2020 The board makes a final choice.
Mar. – Jun. 2020 Communications and transition planning begin.
Jul. 1, 2020 The president takes office.
