Senate Student Mental Health Endowment Fund

The Senate Student Mental Health Fund was created through the leadership of Chancellor Emeritus Ralph Young. University is an exciting time of a person's life; it also comes with its share of stress. Revenue from the Endowment reduces barriers to wellness and supports efforts to end the stigma of reaching out for mental health support. Gifts to the the Senate Student Mental Health fund is an investment in each of the nearly 40,000 students across U of A campuses.


Women In Scholarship Engineering, Science and Technology (WISEST)

WISEST promotes experiences, education, and careers for young women in science and engineering. WISEST takes action through hands on experiential field trips for grade 6 girls, annual conferences for high school girls, and facilitation of summer research projects led by grade 11 girls and mentorship from experienced researchers. Your gift to WISEST helps expose more girls to career possibilities in engineering, science, and technology.


Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI)

The Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI) launched at the University of Alberta in 2011 with a bold vision: to create a culture in which every undergraduate student has opportunities to engage in research and creative activities, both in and out of the classroom. Your gift to URI will directly support curious undergraduate students that want to conduct research and expand their learning.


First Peoples' House

Standing true to beliefs as First Peoples and guided by cultural teachings, the First Peoples' House (FPH) provides an environment of empowerment for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit learners to achieve personal and academic growth.

The vision of FPH is to demonstrate a commitment to the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit student community on campus and provide services that reflect this responsibility. Giving to the FPH means supporting this commitment and having a direct impact on the lives of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students on campus.
