Consultation and Feedback
The success of a selection process relies on a consultative approach, with feedback and input from faculty, staff and students, and key stakeholders of the University. As such, members from the community that are served by the University are invited to share in the opportunity of selecting the Vice-Provost and Chief Librarian. The Selection Committee asks for your advice and opinion on the leadership needs of the University, the priorities, current issues, the future direction of the University and any other key issues.
All feedback is collected on a consultation form, and may be shared with the Selection Committee. Nominations of suitable candidates for the position of Vice-Provost and Chief Librarian are encouraged and individuals who wish to stand as candidates are invited to apply.
Town Halls will be arranged to introduce faculty, staff, students and stakeholders to the members of the Selection Committee, receive information about the Vice-Provost and Chief Librarian selection process and learn about how to get involved in this important endeavor. Forums will be held to present the final candidates to the University and to invite opinions on candidate suitability.
The selection of a Vice-Provost and Chief Librarian is vital to the success of the University. The views expressed by members of the University and wider community are important to the selection process.

Town Halls and candidate presentations will NOT be video/audio recorded or broadcast live. Forums and town halls are not considered "public" events in a selection process. They are an extension of the interview process, which is maintained as a respectful and confidential experience for the candidates. Town Halls and Forums are open to faculty, staff, students and stakeholders who are able to attend, and every effort is made to find suitable times for all to participate.
