The Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds are part of the Continuing Professional Development program in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta and accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. They are an integral function of the Department of Psychiatry, provided onsite at the University of Alberta and broadcast across Alberta and Canada including Northern Areas through Telehealth for physicians and other health care providers. Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held over the lunch hour every Wednesday from September to June, excluding a short winter break for the holiday season in December. Many of the Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds presentations are recorded with a link to the recording posted on the Department of Psychiatry website. Please click on any of the blue highlighted past events on the calendar to access the digital recordings.
Maintenance of Certification Program (MOC)
Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds are an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Attendance records for this event are based on sign-in sheets, which are provided at the event. If attendees are viewing Grand Rounds via Telehealth, the sign-in sheets are provided as an attachment on the notification email, which is sent out prior to the Wednesday event. Evaluation sheets must be returned with the off-site attendance sheets to receive MOC credits. You may also request attendance sheets from Tracy Campbell at any time at the email addresses below.
Confirmation of Attendance letters are prepared and sent out in January each year. Should you require a letter, please contact Tracy Campbell
