Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Grand Rounds

These Zoom Webinar Grand Rounds are scheduled for the third Tuesday of the month from 11:00 am – noon with a break in July and August.

CAP Grand Rounds are part of the Continuing Professional Development program in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta and accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada,

CAP Grand Rounds are an integral function of the Department of Psychiatry and the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. There is a partnership with the Office of Lifelong Learning, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, regarding the presentation and logistics of these Rounds.

It is intended that CAP Grand Rounds will provide an educational forum for the dissemination and discussion of evidence-based theoretical and applied knowledge regarding addiction and mental health issues of children, youth and their families. The target audience is psychiatrists and professionals from multiple disciplines, including family physicians, pediatricians, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and learners who work in the addiction and mental health field in the Edmonton Zone and beyond. The multidisciplinary CAP Grand Rounds Committee determines topics based on feedback from attendees and ongoing needs assessment, reviews evaluations, ensures that accreditation standards are met and engages in quality improvement.
