Event: Asian Studies Brown Bag Series

Wednesday, January 16 12-1pm (TELUS Centre 215E) Presented by Dr. Ashley Esarey 'Struggle for 100% Freedom': The Legacy of Nylon Cheng (鄭南榕) and Taiwan's Democratization

10 January 2019

PTJC are happy to host Asian Studies Brown Bag Series.

We are now planning to expand this to all Asianists, including graduate students. On campus, there are many "groups" that organize lunch-time talks, such as Wirth's European Cafe and CLC's Brown Bag. Such networks are very important for increasing our presence on campus and showcasing academic achievement. We will adopt a similar style to conference presentations (20-25 minute talks, followed by Q&A). You can use this opportunity to practice your papers for conferences or other talks. PTJC will offer a light lunch for these sessions.

This time, Dr. Ashley Esarey is going to share his research with us.

All are welcome!
Light lunch will be served.
