Event: Asian Studies Brown Bag Series

Wednesday, April 10, 12-1pm (TELUS Centre 131) Presented by Professor Christopher Lupke How Translation Can Rescue the Humanities:Personhood, Narrative, and Global Modernity in Soseki's Kokoro

27 March 2019

PTJC are happy to host Asian Studies Brown Bag Series.

We are now planning to expand this to all Asianists, including graduate students. On campus, there are many "groups" that organize lunch-time talks, such as Wirth's European Cafe and CLC's Brown Bag. Such networks are very important for increasing our presence on campus and showcasing academic achievement. We will adopt a similar style to conference presentations (20-25 minute talks, followed by Q&A). You can use this opportunity to practice your papers for conferences or other talks. PTJC will offer a light lunch for these sessions.

This time, Professor Christopher Lupke is going to share his research with us.

All are welcome!
Light lunch will be served
