Brian H. Rowe

I am interested methodologically in health outcomes research (e.g. systematic reviews, clinical trials, observational studies, health systems/services) and from a topic perspective in emergency medicine topics (e.g. asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, injuries and migraine headache).

My methods work involves the quality of primary and secondary research sources, risk of bias assessment and network meta-analyses. In the area of health systems, my group is interested in emergency department overcrowding and mixed-methods approaches to evaluating system-wide interventions to improve flow through the acute care hospital system.

Finally, in the area of knowledge translation, I am is interested in evidence-to-bedside applications of evidence summaries (e.g. syntheses, clinical practice guidelines, care maps) relevant to the emergency care setting.
