Nadya Zukowski, the first recipient of the Doucette- Preville Scholarship, is fascinated with learning about people from other cultures. She aims to complete the practicum requirement of her MPH program by working to improve the health of those living in high needs areas internationally. As an emerging leader in her work with a Family Health Team and in her community of Mississauga, Zukowski will bring her passion for people to her practicum.
"I hope to bring a health promotion lens to help those in a cross-cultural setting. This scholarship will me help assert my commitment as a leader and innovator in protecting and promoting the health of people," says Zukowski.
This scholarship is awarded annually to a student in the MPH program. It is available as a result of a generous gift from Simone Doucette and Eric Preville.
