Dean's Anniversary Fund

Students become tomorrow's public health leaders, passionate about promoting better health for all people, yet there is support available for only a small number of students.

In 2016, to mark the 10th year of the School of Public Health, Dean Kue Young established the Dean's Anniversary Fund. The fund will be used to enhance and support the educational experience of students enrolled in programs offered by the School of Public Health.

This year, the goal is to raise $350,000 to guarantee support for each master of public health (MPH) student who undertakes a practicum placement, a required part of the program.

Achieving this goal means that the cost of travelling and living away for 13 to 16 weeks-about $7,000-will be covered for each of 50 students.

Through the practicum, students make tangible contributions to reducing health inequities and improving the condition of vulnerable populations worldwide.

When you support a student with their practicum, you touch the lives of some of the most underserved people and communities in the world.

Please consider making a gift to the Dean's Anniversary Fund.
