Student Ambassadors
Are you a current post-secondary student who is interested in working with communities to achieve their healthiest potential? Are you passionate about working closely with communities to address public health problems and societal questions that impact health, well-being and sustainability?
Student ambassadors support Canadians in helping their communities achieve their healthiest potential by:
- collaborating with the Centre scientists and practice affiliates, and
- participating in the Centre's student ambassador council.
If this sounds like you, submit your request to be involved as a Centre student ambassador. Centre student ambassador memberships are renewed annually in September with the option to remain a student ambassador for one-year post graduation. The next renewal date is September 2020 for all Centre student ambassadors.
- uphold and support vision, mission, principles and values
- share research and content using social media platforms and campus events (e.g., using CHC hashtag)
- contribute to newsletters, research/practice updates, and lunch and learn sessions
- participate in events, general meetings and informal activities
- participate in a research-specific student ambassador council
- renew membership annually in September (next renewal date is September 2020)
- invitation to events, activities and yearly general meetings
- receive newsletters and research/practice updates
- form academic and career-oriented connections within the network
- opportunity to reach an interdisciplinary audience through newsletters and events
- opportunity to fulfill professional development or volunteer hours
- first access to research assistantships and volunteer positions
