Student Life

Founded in 1908, the University of Alberta is one of Canada’s leading research and teaching institutions. UAlberta also offers a great campus life with a beautiful walkable campus and outstanding facilities for intramural and recreational sports. There’s an active graduate students’ association and hundreds of student groups that appeal to a variety of interests.

The School of Public Health is located in the brand new Edmonton Clinic Health Academy on UAlberta’s North Campus. We’re just minutes from the North Saskatchewan River valley, North America’s largest stretch of urban parkland. Nearby, historic Whyte Avenue is lined with boutiques, pubs and coffee shops-a favourite spot for students. Just across the river, downtown Edmonton hosts the Arts District, including the Winspear Centre of Music, the Art Gallery of Alberta and the Citadel Theatre.
