Unofficial Transcripts

The Unofficial Transcript is available as a downloadable PDF file in Bear Tracks, under 'Academics'.

An Unofficial Transcript reflects your academic record at the point that you request it. It cannot be used as an Official Transcript as it does not bear the Registrar's signature, nor is it printed on security paper.

Important instructions

Continuing students and Augustana three-year degree program students:

If you are currently registered, your Unofficial Transcript will include the following statement: "Grades are unofficial until approved by the Dean."

At the conclusion of the Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer terms, faculties will review the grades of their students and assign academic standing as appropriate. Once the grades/academic standing are approved, the above-noted statement will be removed.

Augustana students:

If you are attending Augustana Faculty, a transcript of your coursework completed prior to September 2006 cannot be viewed in Bear Tracks. In this case, contact the Augustana Student Academic Services Office to obtain your transcript.

Former students:

Only students who attended starting Fall 2002 or after and who continually maintained their online access are able to obtain Unofficial Transcripts on Bear Tracks. All other students will need to request an Official Transcript by completing the Transcript Request form.

Accuracy of transcripts

Students are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of their official record by verifying their Unofficial Transcript. Queries regarding errors or omissions in the official academic history (transcript) must be made as soon as possible.

Refer to Student Records in the University of Alberta Calendar for details on the contents of your transcript.

Note: If you attended the university prior to May 1983, your Unofficial Transcript may be incomplete and this portion of your record must be obtained from the Office of the Registrar.
