The course provides an opportunity for nursing instructors and aspiring nursing instructors to hone their teaching skills from a theoretically-informed perspective. Course participants will negotiate a learning contract in order to investigate various relationships of their choice between instructor, learner, educational theory, and learning environment. The course is designed to enable participants to:
- Explore teaching and learning in contemporary nursing education.
- Consider contemporary influences on the nature of teaching and learning in nursing education.
- Engage, critically and systematically, with challenges facing nursing instructors in contemporary nursing education.
