About Me

I received a BScPT from the University of Alberta in 1980. My clinical career over the next 20 years included private practice and tertiary hospital patient care as well as management and professional practice leadership in the acute care setting. In the late 1990’s, I was involved in the redesign of the University of Alberta Department of Physical Therapy curriculum, and began teaching in the revised MScPT (course based) program when it was implemented in 2003.

Professional Interests

My interests are in the areas of physical therapy curriculum delivery, reflective practice, ethics in physical therapy, professional and interprofessional practice, competence and foundational physical therapy assessment skills.

I teach in the areas of professional and inter-professional practice, ethics, physical therapy communication (interview skills) and basic physical assessment.
