STRATEGY 4: Increase collaboration across all Faculty units

INITIATIVES:

Timeline: December 2018

  • Examine and seek ways to re-focus the Faculty to become more cohesive
    • Increase information sharing across units
    • Support and expand opportunities for social engagement (include/involve satellites, institutes and centres) E.g. Use the indigenous initiative to engage staff across all units

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • Indigenous initiative established in a collaborative way across units
  • Documented increase in individual faculty members participating in the teaching and research with other units (pull stats teaching assignments)
  • Increased social events for all staff in the Faculty (track)
  • People feel valued and identify with FRM (Questionnaire)
  • Collaborative work (in service, teaching and research) is acknowledged and rewarded

PROGRESS TO DATE:

  • Dr Allyson Jones leading committee to facilitate collaborative approach to indigenous-focused activities
  • Tracking statistics on teaching and research in progress
  • Value questionnaire is being developed
