About Dr. McNeely

Dr. Margaret (Margie) McNeely is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. She also holds a joint appointment in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Oncology (Division of Radiation Oncology) and performs clinical research in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at the Cross Cancer Institute.

Dr. McNeely's research program focuses on physical activity and cancer:

  • Impairment-based cancer rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise
  • Shoulder function in survivors of cancer
  • Cancer-related peripheral nerve injury
  • Cancer-related symptoms of pain, fatigue and lymphedema
